Our commercial projects range from small equipment foundations to manufacturing facilities of 200,000 square feet.
Focused on technically challenging industrial projects, Rohrbach is ready to take on specialized work to meet your facilities needs.
Civil and Municipal work is one of the foundations of Rohrbach. We excel at constructing America's Infrastructure.
Whether preparing to place our form-work, or developing stand alone projects, we're ready to dig. As a Penn DOT certified concrete contractor, a large segment of our business is concrete site-work and paving. In addition to the abundance of curb and sidewalk we construct annually, concrete sitework includes large retaining walls, tapered walls, and storm water management structures.
The concrete paving we have constructed includes municipal streets and alleys, truck terminal paving, office parking lots and parking decks. Using American Concrete Institute design criteria, we have modified designs of many of the same parking lots for economical alternatives to asphalt paving. In addition, F.A. Rohrbach. placed the first ultra-thin whitetopping of a municipal street in the northeastern United States and has used the technology for similar applications for terminal paving at the Lehigh Valley International Airport.
In 1988, F.A. Rohrbach, Inc. was the first company in the Lehigh Valley to operate a slipform paver. As a Penn DOT pre-qualified concrete contractor we work to improve the infrastructure of our communities.
We have constructed foundation systems for pre-engineered and conventional buildings as well as mat footings and have employed conventional plywood forming systems, prefabricated steel-ply systems and gang-form systems.
Slabs have included structural slabs, slabs on grade using mechanical shake-on hardeners and laser screed systems.
Elevated flatwork has been placed in slab on deck applications for multi-story office and commercial buildings.
Contracted as prime contractor for the construction infrastructure for Bethlehem's largest visitor venue. Scope of work included curb and concrete paving for base course, finish course and architectural surface treatments, heavy foundations and structural flatwork for stages and sculptures, fencing and site amenities.
We dug, we paved, and we topped it off with some incredible decorative flat work!
FAR is proud to have participated in the continued revitalization of Bethlehem's South Side. Millions will enjoy this venue for decades to come!
FAR was the prime contractor for the construction the one acre park and civil improvements and 14,400 SF skate-plaza. Scope included site improvements, concrete construction of obstacles.
FAR built obstacles inspired by architectural features found in skate parks the world over including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Barcelona and London, incorporating specialized metal copings, railing and fencing.
